"Bought this for my twins as newborns, They are now almost 2. I removed the mobile when they started standing, but the music box is still on my daughters crib, she refuses to let me remove it and turns it on herself evry night when they go to bed. The music is very soothing and quiet, we hardly hear it through the monitor, but my kids insist on having it. Remote feature didn't get much use, even though I have line of sight from my side of the bed did not have range to work from our bedroom to theirs (20-25 feet)."

"We have loved using this mobile for the past 15 months. My son enjoys pushing the buttons and selecting his own music, and watching the animals go 'round. The music is very soothing and there is a nice variety.
I never had a need to use the remote, but did notice it did not work well when I initially tried it out. Maybe that's why I never used it.
I have noticed in the last couple months the motor in the mobile slowing down and have been using a separate soother. But today for his nap I tried to turn the mobile on and it is dreadfully weak... I even put brand new batteries in it. The animals just can't make it past the leaves when they come down! I am very sad... But my son went to sleep just fine with only the music.
I will try to contact customer service to resolve this problem. Maybe I can buy a new motor? I would love to refurbish this product for a possible next baby."

"I was looking for an engaging mobile for my son. In the end, this was little better than a cheap wind up one. The batteries die quickly and are a pain to change. The noise of the mobile turning is loud, so I never could use it to put my son to sleep, only when I needed to have him play in his crib for a few minutes. The music is nice and I liked having a variety of classical options."

"My son is 19 months. We recieved this at our shower. It still hangs on his crib. While at this point he's not so much interested in the music he loves this animal noises and also watching the animals spin around. I was nervous before he was born about registering for this and the soother because they aren't the cheapest. I have NEVER been disappointed with either of them!!!"

"I got this as a shower gift from work and we set it up for my son as soon as he moved over to his crib from his bassinet. That was when he was three months old - he's now 9 months old, and it's going strong. I have never had any troubles with it, other than the remote has to be pretty directly in line with the mobile (but I never use it anyway). The music helps him fall asleep, and the mobile was fascinating for him when he was younger. I'd recommend this to anyone."

"I got this for my older daughter when she was about 3 months old. She used it until she was about 2 (liked to push the buttons to turn the music on and off); then I handed it down to my newborn. My newborn is now 14 months and the mobile is still going strong. Don't know why other people had such trouble...Only thing that didn't work well was the remote (needed an exact path and had to be pretty close), but I didn't care about that."

"We've had this mobile for lest than 48 hours and already the motor is going out. I don't believe it has had more than 4 hours of use. What upsets me the most is that today was trash day and I already tossed the box. My wife is not at all happy. She had to order the mobile online and it took a very long time to come in and now it is already begining to fail!
The music is great and my son loves it. It is very entertaining. We didn't have enough batteries around the house to use the remote so I do not know how well it works or at what distance. The higher music settings is not very loud.
I think it would be a great mobile if the motor was better. I think I will take apart the part that spins. It almost acts as if it is unbalanced and is catching on loose parts inside."

"My daughter got this mobile as a Christmas gift. We came home and set it up right away. At first she loved it and it helped her get to sleep. It didn't take long for her to get bored with it though. And after only about 2 months of use, the motor started creaking and groaning like it is going to stop working. I'm really disappointed that Fisher-Price would sell something that wouldn't last for very long. Especially something that helps us moms get our babies to sleep! Mobiles are rediculously expensive these days, so we should at least get good quality for our money! We now rely on our daughter's waterfall soother to get her to sleep and I highly reccomend one of those!! From one mom to another, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS!!!"

"My 4 month old son enjoys looking at this mobile and the music. However, after only 1 month of use it is broken! The music still plays, but the mobile doesn't work anymore. It creaks and groans, as if the motor is trying to work, but nothing happens. For the price, it should last longer than a month! Don't waste your money."
