Great stepping stool! February 28, 2010
"I purchased this chair for my 2 yr old. I lliked the fact that it had a musical reward. However just as the other reviewers have stated, the potty sing even when there is nothing in the pot. I do say that it is working great as a step stool. So I will keep it for that, however I am going out to purchase and new potty chair."

helpful tip...... September 22, 2009
"I recently bought this potty chair for my 1st Grandson (which he LOVES by the way!) I really think the chair as a whole is great!! The musical reward as soon as a 'drop' of urine hits the sensor is huge encouragement to continue peeing. Thumbs up for the idea!!
Now here's my situation....my 18 1/2 month old grandson is VERY much a 'do it yourselfer!' Therefore, emptying the potty bowl of urine is almost as fun as peeing and getting an instant tune reward. As I don't want to interupt the awesome progress we've made with negitive comments such as 'stop'..'don't do that', or 'no'..I am left at trying to just let him do it and assist the best I can.(not working so well) Mind you, this all began when I decided to let him examine the new potty upon arrival. He figured out how to take it apart! So obviously, I showed him how to put it all back together again. Now my idea or tip if you will is to revise the idea a bit and make the part that the toddler sits on(the seat) have lock and release levers ...something like the table tray on a high chair. That way the toddlers would have no choice but to wait until an adult released the seat exposing the urine bowl therefore eliminating the turn around element of suprise of your cute as pie toddler accidentally flinging urine all over the floor while trying to be a BIG boy or girl.
Like I said in the rating I would still recomend the chair to others. I just thought this small added feature would make a already terriffic potty chair nothing short of perfect!

I don't like August 12, 2009
"The potty serves it's main purpose which is a toilet for toddlers, but mine malfunctions. At first it did what it was supposed to it played music when my child used the potty. Now the music plays in the middle of the night & anytime he sits on it & theres not any wetness or anything in the potty. It gives him false pretenses so every time the music plays he says yaaay, yet he hasnt done anything. I would definitly return to the store if I still had the box."

Not a good potty for boys June 25, 2009
"I bought this for my oldest son and he never used it much, so I am now using it with my 2nd. When he goes number 1, it leaks out of it on a constant basis staining my carpet and making it wet. I have moved it into our bathroom and it leaks all over the floor. It doesn't seem to matter at what angle he holds his "parts" down in, it either sprays out the sides or out the front making his clothes and underwear wet.

I would not recommend this potty for boys, but I am sure it would work much better for girls.

Potty Chair December 7, 2008
"I purchased this chair for my grandson. He loved it from the moment he seen the box. It was a hit from that moment on and he potty trained using it very easily. He would light up each time his business created the musical reward. What joy for a child.
However, he loves the conviencence of having it for an extra leg up now. He can now reach the big boy potty using it as he is very short for his age. He also pulls it over to wash his hands and brush his teeth.
If there were one thing I would fault this item for it would be the musical device going off on its own from time to time. I attribute this to being in a bathroom where it gets moisture to the device and maybe this can be corrected.
All in all I feel this is a great product and would reccomend it to everyone who is working toward training.

Potty troubles November 14, 2008
"This potty is functional, however my son quickly figured out how to play the music without going to the potty. Also, the deflector for boys is a distraction to him as he is usually playing with it and then pees on the floor. Also, the size of the potty seems a bit small for him, he has to be positioned just right to avoid making a mess. Lastly, there are lots of nooks that are difficult to clean. I have basically just submerged it in the tub after a bath and used a scrub brush to clean the crevases. I think next time I would stick to a more basic potty and for boys choose a seat with an intergrated splash guard."

OK buy October 10, 2008
"I really like this product although my son figured it out really quick so he presses the button when he wants to hear the music. I also have to make sure I turn it off when it's not in use because the music comes on on its own. It kind of scared me one night:) The step stool comes in really handy though when it's time to wash hands!"

potty notty October 9, 2008
"I liked the potty; it was very well made. My son did not care for it. Once he had seen the one that would made a flush sound and was more animated he wanted nothing to do with this one. So now we do use it as a step stool and it is great."

Daughter Outwitted This Potty October 7, 2008
"Potty training my daughter was long and hard, and I thought this potty would help. It plays music when your baby tinkles in the bowl as a reward, but my daughter flipped it over and found the sensor underneath the bowl. She had lots of fun pressing on the metal sensor, laughing at being in control of the music WITHOUT having to use the potty. Instead of encouraging her to potty train, this potty spent most of it's life torn apart and flipped over on the playroom floor as yet another "toy". Save your money and buy a basic potty without all the bells and whistles."

Sensors go out October 7, 2008
"I bought this potty while on vacation at my grandmas and the sensors only work when the liquid moves back and forth in the potty. Also, we clean her potty every day but the sensors still have some type of corosion on them. Very disappointed in this aspect otherwise I do like the durability of it but wish the sounds would work better."

"We bought this for our youngest who was almost 2 at the time. It's comfortable enough for her (she's on the short side of normal). It's sturdy enough to bring to the grandparents."

First Potty October 6, 2008
"I bought this for my daughter a couple of months ago. She loves the music feature when she uses the potty she always claps when she hears the music play. It also works great for her to stand on to reach the sink to wash her hands. The only problem I have is the music plays when ever it takes a notion too. I finally had to place a piece of toliet paper over the connectors so it would quit playing late at night it was waking me up."
