Very cute, but doesn't swing

"I have had two of these swings replaced by FP. The swing doesn't swing. The motor is defective. It barely moves on the 6th speed. It is an adorable product that my son loves because of the lights and music, but the product is defective. Check other sites on the internet, the reviews show the same for alot of others.
My son is only 11 lbs at this point, so we know it is not the weight."

"My son has been a very gassy/fussy/colicky baby and this swing has been a life saver! It soothes him many times when he is having a rough time and he takes longs naps in it. I love the ability to swing both directions and it is relatively portable. I borrowed it from my sister who used it for her two girls and thankfully she doesn't plan on having anymore children because I wouldn't want to give it back. Only complaint is that the color/design is a little bit feminine, but not a big deal since it has been such a valuable product."

"When my son first came home from the hospital this is what he slept in. He had to be connected to the bilirubin machine and this swing made it easy for his treatments. Once it was time for him to sleep in his crib he refused and wanted to sleep in this swing. HE LOVES IT! He is now almost 11months and is still using the swing for naps. I love the fact it plugs in, so no going through batteries like crazy. That was one of the main reasons I chose this swing to begin with. My son also loved the light show from day one and still loves it.I would HIGHLY recommend this swing!"

Gorgeous swing, defective motor

"This is a gorgeous swing, however it has a defective motor. I'm not the only one. Go onto any major chain website and read the reviews. There are thousands of defective swings out there. I have an older papasan/cradle swing from 2002 with the 3-speeds. It's fantastic. This swing's 6th speed = about 1 1/2 on the old swing. This new one is a joke. It hardly moves once you put your baby in it. My baby will sleep up to 8 hours at night in the older style and only about 10 minutes in this new one!!! Within a couple days of using this I already had to call FP and request a new motor piece be sent out. It was no better than the first!!! I am extrememly disappointed in the quality. I will be trying to return this to Fisher Price. I can't speak for all of the newer styles, but they're ALL 6-speeds. It makes me wonder if they're ALL defective?"
