Attractive monitor - ticking is annoying...

"The monitor has great range, however no matter what channel we choose we get this very annoying ticking on the monitor which will keep us from putting our little one in his crib until we can find a monitor that doesn't tick or this one starts to work without the tick. Even with the monitor in the same room it ticks like crazy, no matter where or what channel you are on there is a tick."

Replacement Batteries

"I have had this monitor for 10/11 months and the batteries just started to fade. I've seen many reviews stating how hard it is to find replacement batteries and that they need to buy a new monitor. I just contacted customer service and they are sending me replacement batteries for my monitor. It just took a few minutes to call and the customer service rep was very courteous and helpful. In my book this is so much better and cheaper than purchasing a new monitor."

"We received our first monitor as a baby shower gift and after about 5 months it quit working. The first red light on the receivers started glowing bright red and there was a loud buzzing sound being emitted. We changed the channels and this happened on every channel. We unplugged the base and tried to reset everything but it did not work. We replaced the monitor with the same model as we like this one initially, luckily we bought the replacement warranty from BRU. It has been about 2 months and the second one has now gone out with the same issues. The red light is on and the buzzing sound is happening again. We tried to change channels again and unplug everything but it does not help. I think we will be switching brands this time."

"I researched products that I wanted to use for my daughter who is just 7 months old. She didn't sleep in her own room until appx 8 weeks, and that is when I started to use this monitor. Now, both receivers won't stay charged. I am very upset that this expensive monitor has quit working correctly after 5 months of use. I hope F-P corrects this issue and unforunately, I'm going to have to spend more money to purchase another monitor that I can use without having plugged in."

"Bought this in Oct/08 and last week 1 receiver quit working, all it does is play static and a nice light show. Probably something with the antenna. The other receiver works just fine, still. Hoping FP will replace this thing as im beyond Baby'sR Us 90-day return period. =("

"we got this as a gift that we had registered for it worked great for almost 4 months but we have twin boys so it is always on but one night it started beeping telling us that the battery was dead we put it on the charger and it still would not work the very next night the other one did the same thing. we have looked all over trying to find a battery but we cant find one anywhere. I think for $65 it should last for a little longer than 4 months."

"This is a GREAT monitor! I have never had any issues with this, and having two monitors is great. We keep one plugged in to charge and take the other one. So if one dies (and it takes a long time for this to happen), we can quickly change it out with the other. The life on this monitor is fabulous! My daughter goes down around 8pm, and one monitor lasts until 1pm the next day - and that is ON, not just sitting there turned off!
I have tested the reception on this monitor as well and taken my dog outside or gone and gotten the mail, and the reception is still very strong. I even tested it and walked down the street with it (daughter in tow). We were shocked! It is great and I have never picked up anyone else's transmission. The only thing that is funny is that my Blackberry interferes with the signal. It makes the monitor make a funny noise, but you can still hear the baby through the noise. I just have learned to never have the 2 close together anymore. Overall, great product! I feel much safer using this monitor over a video monitor!"

"So far I love this monitor. I can go outside in the yard and do yardwork while she is asleep in her crib and know that I could hear even the smallest noise from her. This is a great monitor. The charge lasts a while as well. The reception is great. I bought it especially for the private connection part of it. My friends experienced people listening in on them through the baby monitor and I didn't want that to happen to me."

"I love this monitor!!! This is our first baby and we purchased this monitor. It gets great reception and there are so many channels to choose from. There are several kids in our neighborhood and having 10 channels make it easy to find a channel that another parent is not using. My sister lives across the street and I have been able to stand on her sidewalk talking to her and my niece and still hear if my little Lexi wakes up. It is very clear and having 2 handsets are nice. I keep one downstairs and the other in our bedroom at all times. The appearance is nice and not bulky or have long antennas. This is a great product."
