"Overall the swing is nice, i love the sound and music features, however the sound of the motor is loud and overpowering. I agree with other suggestions regarding having an a/c adapter for this type of product. Batteries are not economical. So far my daughter is enjoying her new baby gear."

"I have enjoyed the swing up until my son's 3rd month. He is now 4.5 weighing 18 lbs. My husband and I are constantly changing the batteries which I assumed his weight was the problem...however the manual suggested max was 25lbs.
His weight makes the swing lean to one side and you have to constantly adjust the swing. To add, the straps need to be a little longer.
Last, the winding noise is annoying. It is louder than the music. At first I assumed that it would stop once the swing got to a certain speed...NOT TRUE.
However, this is a good sleeping product and I recommend for infants under 15lbs which means you will not get your $ worth"

One huge flaw...

"I spent a good amount of money on this swing, and even though it has been worth it - I never realized that I would have to spend as much, if not more, on "D" Batteries for this swing! I don't understand how Fisher Price could actually make such a wonderful product, price it at what it is.. and then not make an A/C adapter for it. My son spent most of his first 3 months in this swing due to colic and even now he loves falling asleep in it before I put him in his crib. It also, just now, started making a very annoying clicking sound as it goes back and forth. I'm not sure if it's because my son is about 15 pounds and is putting a strain on the motor or not. It says 25 pound capacity, but I'm not so sure about that.
Anyway - I would recommend this for someone who has "D" batteries at their disposal!!!"

"This product is very appealing at first. It has a lot of options many moms look for such as soothing sounds, multiple ways for rocking, ( front-to-back, side-to-side), is very soft and is relatively easy to move. Their are con's to this product though that I beleive everyone should be aware of before purchasing this somewhat expensive product. 1.) It makes a loud "motor like" sound as it sways side to side. At first I thought it was suppost to be a heartbeat sound but soon realized that it is just the machine working. My baby eventually got used to the sound but at first was bothered by it. 2.) You go through batteries very quickly. My baby is getting bigger now ( 5 mo.) and I find myself going through 4 D batteries every 2 weeks. 3.) As my baby gets bigger the lower settings dont work. My baby is only 15 lb's now but I can only use the 2 highest settings or the swing wont move and you will just hear the motor working loudly as if shes just too heavy. So please dont beleive the 25 lb's weight limit, because at only 15 lb's the swing is having a hard time moving. 4.) The music often sounds very distorted. Im not sure why or what causes it but it happens maybe once a week.
This swing was a great help to me when she was smaller. She would sleep throughout the night in it and allow me to sleep 8-10 hours a night. But I would only recomend buying this if your child is newborn-2 mo. Any older, you just wont be able to use it for long enough to get your moneys worth and it would be more practical to get a swing made for older babies that you will be able to use for longer."

"i really love this swing..and so does the baby.. but no matter how often i change the batteries .. the music and sounds on the swing allways sound distorted.. they start to play and then all the sudden they sound either like its going under water or like someone is speeding up the tempo or really slowing it down. lol i walked into the room while the sounds were on at night and it sounded like a scary movie soundtrack.. oh well other than that its a great swing!"

"To start off, this is a very nice looking swing with a ton of features. The sounds are soothing and the different positions are very nice also. My son loves this swing. He will sit in it for hours swinging happily.
This leads us to the major problem. Power consumption. I go through batteries way to often. This swing would be 5's across the board if they created an a/c adapter. I would buy it asap. Hint Hint to Fisher-Price production team. Some sort of a/c wall adapter needs to be made for this wonderful product so it can reach its full potential."

"This swing is great my son loved it from the first time we used it. It calms him immediately and he just loves the mobile and mirror. As he grew and began playing with toys(4-5 months) he loves the activity tray as well. From a moms point of veiw I love that its soft,warm and comfortable. "This swing has been used daily since we brought our son home from the hospital. He naps in it still at 7 and 1/2 months. He has about 3 and 1/2 lbs to grow until he is too heavy for it, which makes me sad, but then he will nap in his crib. So many other parents of newborns (who have been to our house) have gone out and bought this swing even when they had another one at their house! The only 2 issues we had was as the baby got bigger, the lower settings weren't effective - we had to use the faster settings. 2nd issue was that as he got bigger, the batteries had to be changed more regularly. That being said, though, our baby can sleep for hours in this swing!"

"My mother purchased this swing for my daughter (her granddaughter) at four days old. My daughter immediately loved it. The swing is soft, comfortable, and supportive. When our baby was particularly fussy and nothing else would help, we could place her in the swing and she would be calm and napping in a matter of minutes. It can swing quite fast, so it is important to select the right speed for the size of your baby. And for some reason, the random songs almost always seemed to be the same couple of songs over and over, not annoying to my baby, but to her parents. Overall, a very good product. Unfortunately, at six months, my baby is becoming too active to safely use the swing, we'll all miss it:)"

"I got this cradle swing as a gift from the girls that I work with. I had looked at a lot of swings and this was by far my favorite. My daughter has used the swing every day since she came home from the hospital seven weeks ago. I love the swing and the music but I am VERY disapointed in the mobile. It sounds like it is catching and releasing whenever we turn it on. It is so loud that I came running in from the other room the first time it happened. I have only been using the mobile for the past two weeks or so but I don' think that we will be able to continue to do so, as the sound seems to upset the baby. She seems to love the sound of the clicking of the swing moving though. It does go through batteries quickly (I have changed them once in seven weeks), but I have to say that I would be willing to pay for new batteries every week if that was what it took."

"I bought this swing for my baby boy when he was just about 2 wks old. He loves his swing! Unfortunately he is big for his age, so he only has another 3 lbs before he'll be out of it, even though he is only 6 months old now. "Definitely the softest material available and by far the cutest - really good enough for either gender.
One thing this one has that sets it apart - the mirror when looking straight up. We've all read that mirrors exert confidence in young children - so rather than staring at just the mobile, they can stare at themselves, which all babies love to do!
Plus it is just the cutest!!
I bought this one last year and lost that baby and was sad to return it but at the time wasn't sure I'd want to deal with pregnancy again. So, when we did get pregnant again, this was one of my first purchases - I cannot wait to use it!!"

"When we first started using this swing, it saved me a lot of sleep! My daughters loves it! So much that we had to change the batteries after using the swing for about a month. Now that we changed the batteries, the swing is making a loud clicking sound that is very annoying. Now, the swing won't even swing anymore. We push the swing and after a few seconds, it's barely moving anymore. I think the motor wore out after only one month of use! If I would have know this, I would have spent the money on another product that didn't cost as much. Now I know to tell people to save their money and not waste their time buying this swing."

"This is our 4th child and 4th swing and it is by far the best. It is our first Fisher Price and if we had known how wonderful it would be, we would have started off with this brand. The soft neutral color is what pulled us in. It seems that it blends in well in each of our rooms, which is a must for myself being overly picky on decorating. We unfortunately have had a few diaper accidents and have had to remove the padding to wash it. During this time we wished we had a second cover for the swing so we could continue use. I have searched all over the site for a replacement cover but have been unable to find one. Other than that, we love the swing and highly recommend it to other expecting friends and family!"
