"My daughter was 1 month when she got this for Christmas. She is now almost 5 months, 13 lbs and the swing will no longer work! We use this daily with the a/c adapter and loved the fact you didnt have to purchase batteries. We tripped the breaker, tried plugging it into a different wall receptical, everything and it still will not work. The mobile will not turn, no sounds, lights or swinging motion! I'm VERY disappointed!!!!! I buy a lot of Fisher- Price products, and this swing was a life-saver, until it stopped working. My daughter would coo and talk and watch the lights and butterflies on the net. I would not reccommend this swing."

"I just got a cradle 'n swing when turning it on it makes a REALLY loud noise when u wanted to use the swing part but the lights, sound and mobile all work right. I want to fix it cuz its a really good swing and my baby is only month and half old."

Butterfly Cradle Me Swing

"My family and I have been huge fans of Fisher Price for many years. My opinion has decreased since I spent a lot of money on a Butterfly Cradle Me Swing. My daughter just turned 8 weeks and has started using the swing this week. It worked perfect the first two days and she loved it. It really seemed to help with colic and other trouble she has. She loves the lights and mobile! Like I said, the first two days were great. Now, the swing is barely moving. The motor seems very weak. The ligts, sounds, and mobile still work fine. It is not a battery issue, because we use the wall plug in. I'm very disappointed that I made such a large purchase on something I thought would be dependable, and can has proven otherwise. I will not continue business with Fisher Price if I cannot find a solution to this problem."

"Absolutely loved this swing at first. It is beautiful! My only initial complaint is that the motor was a bit loud; I didn't really mind, because I have a loud family anyway. The light show is captivating, the butterflies moving around is lovely, the music is fine. It was the only place I could get my daughter to fall asleep and stay asleep without me rocking her for 20 minutes. I have an amazing video with my daughter smiling with her mouth all the way open at 2 months watching the butterfly light show.
Fast forward a month... my daughter at 14 pounds and 3 1/2 months, the motor gave up! It died over the course of a week. The music, light show, and butterflies are still fine, but the swing doesn't move anymore. I tried sitting next to her and moving it myself, but I'm just not the same. Back to the rocking chair I go! I bought another swing from a different company, but she doesn't like it nearly as much. Such a shame, and such a huge waste of money."

not happy with swing

"Our son got this swing for a gift it was bought back in june 2012 baby was born in july 2012 use the swing very little now it does not want to swing motor not working everything eles works i have read the review on this swing not very good we loved it but it does not do any good if it does not swing !! Save your money!

"I was so excited to get this swing for my baby. I received it as a shower gift. We put it together and worked fine at first. When our baby was born she didn't like to be strapped into anything, so the swing sat there unused for about 2 months. Except for the few times we tried to reintroduce it to her. Now that she is almost 4 months old and 15 lbs, the swing stops swinging after she is in it for 2 minutes. And it isn't because of dead batteries because we only use the AC adapter. It's extremely disappointing that such an expensive product would stop working properly after 5 short months of barely being used. I could maybe understand if we used it everyday. But that is not the case. Had I known this would happen, I would never have put this swing on my registry. I don't even know what to do with it now. I can't even sell it. It's useless now. Fisher Price needs to make right on this product. It is obviously a manufacturer's defect."

"We have had this swing for 4 months and have been completely disappointed in it. I previously owned a swing from another company and used it for both of my boys for almost a year each with no problem. I wanted something girly this time around and thought this swing was beautiful. Unfortunately, it has barely worked since we took it out of the box and now 4 months later has gotten to the point where it has almost no movement at all. My daughter is only 14 lbs, so I know her weight is not the problem. Huge disappointment for such an expensive swing."

"I received the butterfly swing as a baby shower present, and it was so beautiful, I couldn't wait for the baby to use it. I had bought a swing before for my son (Ocean Wonders with the swimming fish in the globe up top), and was really happy with it, and it was passed on for 3 years to various family members to use.
Here's the problem: The motor for the butterfly swing is no good. It worked fine up until January, when it stopped rocking side to side. It worked fine back and forth, so we used it that way, and now it won't move at all in any direction. The baby is 6 months old now, and weighs in at 16 lbs., so that's not the problem. With all the negative reviews on this particular product from owners with the same problem, I feel like a broken record. I could understand if the product was just old and worn out, but to fritz out after 2 months of use is unreasonable."

Worst Purchase

"I bought this for my daughter in January 2012 and the product has never really ever worked for us. The motor for the swing has never been very slow since we opened it. We always had to use it on the highest setting for it to even move a little bit. Now my daughter is 5 months old and only weighs about 15 pounds and it doesn't move at all. I have never been so unhappy with a product before and it isn't cheap. I would not recommend this product to anyone."

Can't live without

"I have had this swing since my first child was born 5 years ago... she wasn't a big fan of it so it wasn't used much. I had another child 8 months ago and this swing has been my lifesaver. She LOVES it. She takes all of her naps in it, it comforts her when she's fussy, in fact I'd go as far as saying it's her security blanket. The song selection and nature sounds are a perfect amount of noise to drown out the rest of the house. I'm very sad that she's getting too big for it and I'll have to retire it but I'm so very thankful that I've had it for so long without any problems. It's a wonderful swing and I would recommend it to everyone."

"I AM REALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS PRODUCT I PURCHASED THIS FOR MY DAUGHTER AT THE END OF JANUARY 2012 AT THE COST OF NEARLY £200.00 INCLUDING SHIPPING THEN CUSTOMS FEES ON TOP TO ONLY HAVE THE MOBILE SWITCH BREAK WITHIN THE FIRST MONTH WHICH I COULD LIVE WITH BUT SHOULDNT HAVE TO CONSIDERING THE COST OF THE ITEM THEN A MONTH LATER THE MOTOR STOPPED WORKING COMPLETLY! "Our daughter was about a month old when we got this swing. Right out of the box the power cord didn't work. So she was almost 2 months old before we could even use the swing. We used it used for 2 months and the motor went bad. After waiting almost another month we got the motor and here we are about 2 months later the 2nd motor went bad! Weight was def not the issue, she almost 7 months now and only weighs 15lbs. I would not recommend this swing."

"I purchased this swing for my daughter when she was only 8 weeks old. She only used the swing for just about a month before the lights, music, and butterfly mobile all stopped working. The swinging mechanism still works, but nothing else. I would not recommend this swing to anyone."

"I purchased this for my baby when I was pregnant. My daughter was born in second week of January, started using the swing the next week and now the motor is already dying and its only february!! The swing barely moves on the highest setting. I was so excited when I bought this product and paid a lot of money. "For the most part I am satisfied with the swing. My baby is 3 1/2 months old and at first she did not like it, so it has only been used consitently for about 2 months. After about a month and a half the lights in the mobile will turn on but after about 5 minutes it they will shut off. The butterflies still turn its just the lights. Also in the past few weeks it has started making a squeaking or a clicking noise while swinging. I love that it has the option for batteries or to plug into the wall. I was afraid we would spend more on D batteries than diapers but that option makes all the difference. Hope the glitches get worked out soon being as the swing is so expensive."

"I received the Butterfly cradle swing as a gift... I've been using it for less than 2 months and already the motor seems to be dying. The swing barley goes even on the fastest speed (my daughter is not even 12lbs) there is a "static" noise sometimes and you have to mess with the switch in order to get the lights/mobile to work. Very disappointed because it's exactly the swing I wanted..."

"I just recently purchased this product I was so excited i even paid for next day shipping.....We put it together as soon as we got it and it sounded great and worked fine for the first coupleof minutes I would say! Now the motor is so loud you can't even concentrate on the music We keep the swing in our living room and we can go over to the bedroom and still here the motor and not the music...to get the light to work I have I have to mess with the switch several times its frustrating. It is very pretty but the motor part is not the very best quility. :( I have 3 other children and have bought fisher price swings in the past and non had such poor quality to the motor."
