"I bought this for my son's 2nd birthday in March (less than 9 months ago) from the Mattel store in El Segundo. We usually keep it in the closet and just pull it down when he asks to play with it. He does love the toy, but since the sound went out it doesn't hold his attention as long. At first I thought it was just the batteries, so I replaced them all. Then I figured out it wasn't the batteries...that all the sound stopped working."

"This is the best cash register around! Every child needs a cash register with a working conveyor belt that actually scans. As much as the keypad with songs and numbers are fun, the whole concept of actually ringing in items is so much fun! I also love that every item you ring in comes up with its own price. For instance, you ring the bananas and it shows up as $2.62 and then the cereal and it's $4.37 and you hit total and it'll add them up for you. My five year old boy, three year old daughter and one year old son all love ringing things up and playing grocery store. Every single child that comes over ends up enthralled with it as well. Must have cash register!! Thank you Fisher Price!"

Daughter loved it until the signature pad broke

"We got this for our 1.5 year old and she loves it! The scanning is awesome, the songs are great the conveyor belt is wonderful. She especially liked "signing" the credit card pad but then it broke and now the pen won't "write". Now she'll carry the toy to us for it to be fixed. My husband tried to fix it, but it doesn't come apart to clean underneath so we can't. I searched for a replacement part but there isn't one. To be the price it is and it breaks less than a year later and there is not the option of a replacement part frustrates me. Our daughter really wants to play with it, but when that doesn't work it just turns into a tantrum."
