"My grandson enjoys this item very much. I like the fact that it requires movement on his part and that he learns as he plays.
One thing that would have made it better is if it had the capability to re-charge batteries as the child rode the bike. He plays so long that he uses up batteries quite quickly."

"This little thing does it all. its a exersize tool, a learning too, and it teached coordination. My grand child has a bike, but no place to ride it, this lets her ride in the wormth, and safty of our home. The afermation at the compleation of each test gives her a real fealing of acomlishment."

"I bought this toy for my 4-year-old grandson for Christmas. He was able to sit on it and figure it out almost immediately, holding down the frustration level. A month later he is still loving to play on it and we have added a few new games. Each game comes with several different "games" or "races," so you don't have to buy all the separate games. There is a nice variety with them all."

"We bought 2 of these for the 2 grandsons that are almost 3. They love them. BUT, the batteries go dead after only an hour or so use, and they are not so easy to change. FP should have made it run on electricity. Don't waste your money unless you want to spend a fortune in batteries. We told the parents to send it back."

"My daughter is 3 1/2 years old, and loves this Smart Cycle. It is the appropriate size for her, overall sturdy, and easy to install. The games keep her interested and are helping her with shapes, colors, numbers, and the alphabet. She doesn't realize how much she is learning because she is having fun playing the games. I would definitely recommend this product to others, especially with preschool-age children."

"I just bought this for my 3 year old and it was easy to put together and the screen came on, but the steering does not work. He pedals and pedals and pushes to go left or right, but it does nothing. I called customer service today and they said to cut the cord and mail it in and it would take four weeks to get us a new one. My 3 year old would love that! So we are going to attempt to take it to Target. I think they should have just mailed us a new one and I could get them the receipt! Not happy!"

"I bought this for my grandson and he was very excited. We had problems with the connections to the TV - when it wasn't just right - it would shut itself off and we had to restart it. We tried different ports on the TV and it seemed to fix it.
Also we are disappointed that you have to use batteries instead of an ac adapter.
Also the peddles are hard on the little peoples feet. The should have a softer peddle surface.
It seems like it should be fun for the kids and we think he will enjoy we had to get past the troubles first.

"my son loves the smart cycle, however i was very unhappy that it did not come with instructions to put it together or where the batteries go what kind it uses ect. but it overall took me roughly 20 minutes to put it together but i grumbled the whole time"

"My grandson got this last year for Christmas and he loves it! It keeps him occupied for hours. In regards to comment from candy....we have cords that plug into the back of the TV. I'm not sure if my daughter had to put any batteries in it, not that I'm aware of, but I haven't replaced any and it plugs straight into the TV. I have never had any problems. One of my gifts this year is more games to go with it!"

"When we gave the Smart Cycle to my daughter she fell in love instantly, BUT a few days later, THE PEDAL FELL OFF!!!! My husband assembled the right and left pedals as the instructions stated, but the pedal still fell off. We are now calling Customer Service to see if we can get a replacement pedal, and hopefully she can once again enjoy her bike."

"We got a smartcycle last christmas for my daughter but around May the right pedal just fell off. I made sure to assemble it correctly and to tighten it in the correct direction but the bolt is completly striped. After months of trying to find a replacement bolt ( never did ) I am forced to call customer service who I've heard will do nothing more than offer me another pedal which will again break off. I hope a solution will be found soon."

"We bought this for my son two years ago. He is now 5 and continues to play on his bike almost daily. He absolutely LOVES IT! I have been amazed that this has kept his attention over time and he has retained the things he has learned from it (especially spelling). We have had to replace the pedals twice and need to figure out how to adjust the seat height. I don't consider this a big deal considering how often he is on it and the customer service has been very good. It is very easy to set up - he usually moves it room to room and doesn't need help setting up. I hope they continue to make more games!"

"My kids LOVE this Cycle! They have spent countless hours playing their games, learning and tiring themselves out. They don't know they are learning, but it is definitely happening, my almost 3-year-old learned how to pedal forward on this while learning his alphabet, numbers and matching.
The only issue I have is that we have to try seating the game cartridge a couple of times to get it in correctly and this can be extremely frustrating to a child.
I have been a huge F-P fan, ever since I was a child (Go F-P Kids dolls!) and I am glad to be able to provide my children with toys from this lasting company."

"I have 3 children, ages 4, 7, & 9 and all 3 of them love this SmartCycle. I have to set a timer for them to take turns or they fight over it.
My only problem with it is the pedals. We have had to replace the right one once already and now the replacement has come off and won't go back on, but I know that customer service will be just as prompt to take care of this problem as they were the first time."

"We have bought tons of Fisher-price toys and this is the only one that we are extremely dissatisfied with. Our son has no intrust in playing any of the games, he tried them once or twice but that was it. The graphics are very lacking, the games are very hard to navigate around and it is battery powered. I would not recommend purchasing this product."

"This bike we bought for christmas a couple of years ago and the next month the left bike pedal fell off and was stripped. We call fisher price and they did replace the bike. but a year later the same bike pedal just fell off and was stripped. This is not from wear and tear my children use it occationally. The games just don't keep their interest. They would rather pedal the bike and watch tv then play the games. I feel this is from poor manufacturing. Don't waste your money."

"Initially when I recommened my son's father buy this smart cycle as a Christmas present last year I thought that it ran off electricity. Upon my child receiving this as a gift I learned that it only runs on batteries. Why would such a well known company not think of this?"
