Loving Family™ Minivan

Road trips are more fun than ever with this fully-equipped van! It's loaded with charming details and realistic touches—including working horn and radio that plays three tunes. And with third-row seating, there’s plenty of room to seat six people. Enough for a whole family or friends! Requires 3 AA batteries.

Frustration
December 8, 2012
"My 3 almost 4 year old daughter loves her doll house, she loves the room accessories, she loves all of the family members, however the Loving Family Minivan has been nothing but frustration for her (and me).
The doors have fallen off everytime she has played with it (and that is everyday). I have had to reattached the doors mulitiple times a day and now the hinges are broken and the van drives around without doors. My daughter has been so upset that she has cried over this toy.
Fisher Price has ALWAYS had fantastic, quality toys, however, this van has fallen short of that."

cute
October 20, 2012
"my daughter was given this car for her 4th birthday and loved it because of the fun noises it made and the fact that her loving family could now go on road trips however
the doors have been an issue.unless you are very carefull they do come off and after several times of putting them back on ,one of the hinges has broken.
it is upsetting that something intended for children is not sturdy enough for every day play!
my daughter still loves it ,she just uses the passenger side door all the time now.

An ok purchase
October 13, 2012
"My daughter loves the van but the doors do fall off much more than they should. My daughter will stop everything until we can get the doors back on which is rather annoying when it happens a couple times in the same day.
The music is a little loud but I put a piece of masking tape over the speaker to lessen the sound a little. My daughter does love the music and driving the family around.
One thing that personally annoys me is the babies should be in rear facing car seats. They are clearly under 1 which is the absolute minimum for forward facing. My daughter mentioned once that the babies weren't safe and I told her "I know but it is just pretend."

THOSE DARN DOORS!!!!!
July 18, 2012
"FP, my girls absolutely LOVE this car and all the Loving Family stuff they have but I tell you what, THOSE DARN DOORS drive me nuts. I can't tell you how many times I have had to pop them back on, probably tops out at about 10-12 times in one day. This is probably one of their favorite toys b/c it reminds them of our van but I sure wish you would have kid tested it and if you did, those kids weren't rough enough on it b/c those doors pop off at the drop of a hat."

Great Doorless Van
July 8, 2012
"My two daughters enjoy the van, even though within a week of purchasing it one door fell off (and continues to fall off). Within a couple months, only one door remains intact on the van.
Have had FP products for generations in my family, and this is one of the few items FP has made that I am disappointed in."

Great fun but horrible quality
January 29, 2012
"I will start off by saying that my daughter loves this car so i would purchase it again in a heartbeat. HOWEVER, this is not made with fisher-price quality. i was so excited to get it home and then i opened the car door just to have it fall off. i feel like i am constantly fixing something. if they could make it out of better plastic, i would have had 5 stars for it all around"

"Our daugher has had this van only a few days and I have had to put the doors back on so many times already. She loves the van so I can't take it back but I am thinking about making it a doorless van. She loves putting the family in and pushing it around and loves the music. She often plays the music just so she can stand and dance. Very cute. Also a little curious why the babies seats face forward instead of the to the rear of the vehicle. Overall a great addition to the family series but wish the doors weren't a problem."

Careful with the doors...
January 3, 2012
"I purchased this toy for my 4 year old daughter and she loves to play with it, loves to load and unload the car, my main problem with the toy is that the doors kept falling off and has now broken less an year after purchase (my daughter is very gentle with her toys, and does not have any other broken toys) if you have a child that is rough at all with their toys expect the door to break off and need to be glued on so that it sill stay shut(and on) :("

Flimsy door hinges.
December 26, 2011
"When we first bought this minivan, It was really fun. It's still reasonably fun, but the driver's door hinge fell apart.
I might buy another one or the RV."

Please fix the doors
December 25, 2011
"I love the idea of the minivan. The music is adorable and the look is cute too! My daughter loves taking the "family" for a drive! However, the doors will not stay on and it is so frustrating for both her and I. I've put the doors back on at least 20 times today and she just got it this morning. She isn't being rough with them at all, just opening them to put the people in. This product desperately needs to be remade with better doors!"

DOORS!
July 17, 2011
"My daughter loves this van - especially the music it plays. As with the other reviewers, we were really frustrated with the doors. We ended up buying a second one, thank goodness it's so cheap, and hot-gluing the doors closed before she could play with them. She didn't mind because you can put the people in the top. She DID mind when the first van didn't have any doors on it."

Loving Family Van
June 14, 2011
"My children love the van and use it often, however, the doors will not stay on. I am very disappointed with the quality and durability of this item. We have put the door on so many times that now the hinge has broken and the door can no longer be used. They still use it without the doors but it is upseting to me as a parent."

Fun even without doors
May 6, 2011
"My 4 year old has loved this van since the first second she saw it in the store. After a couple dozen times opening and closing the doors, they come off. We put them back on several times, but the doors just don't stay on. Even some in the store were missing the doors. She doesn't care, but buyer beware."
