"This seal is super cute and has a great bark. Out of all the animals we have this is the one my child keeps in hand.
The only issue I've seen is that it's a little too wide to fit the top of the slide. If you try to push it down the slide from the adjoining ledge it doesn't quite fit- you either have to raise it up a little or start it off lower on the slide."

"We've purchased a number of animals for my one-year-old nephew's zoo. They were difficult to find, but I've ordered most of them through the Fisher Price website and, even when they sell out, they do eventually come back in stock. Honestly, my nephew is so young that I think the three that came with the zoo would have contented him for quite some time without any extras, but it's fun for him to have more.
This seal is cute, makes a nice "barking" noise, and works well with our zoo. Nice figure!"

Frustration

"My daughter received the Animal Talkers Zoo as a Christmas present. It comes with only 3 animals - and all of them growl. She does enjoy playing with the animals she has though, so we were really interested in adding more animals to her set. THIS is where FRUSTRATION set in. I cannot find any animals in stores. And even when I decided to order them online, I found they are not available. It is extremely disappointing and more so because there is no indication of when the animals might become AVAILABLE. We'd love to know Fisher-Price. The sooner the better."

Good product, WRONG NAME

"For a toy that is supposed to educate children on the animal and the sounds it makes, it might be nice if it were correctly identified. This is a Sea Lion, not a Seal. Sea Lions have ear flaps, have the long front flippers that allow them to "sit up" and make the barking sound. Seals on the other hand only have ear holes, get around on their bellies, and make a growling sound.
Until this animal is correctly identified, my Poor Overall Rating stands."

Thanks for sharing your review. It inspired a number of us to do a little research because, like you, we want to make sure we’re correctly identifying animals for the children who enjoy our toys. Our designers informed us that the Little People® seal was actually modeled after a Fur Seal, which does have ear flaps and muscular flippers. All the same, we’ve passed your comments along to our product development team for consideration.
